Eight rotating segments across our two channels, shown in your local time. The network never goes dark.
Two live channels, always on
Ambient Space and Aurora stream continuously — click either one to switch the player above. Earth at Night, Airglow, Orbit Sunrise and Night Sky are segments that rotate through those two channels; see the schedule for exact times.
Earth at Night
A slow flyover of city lights and coastlines, seen from several hundred kilometers up.
Airglow
Faint green and red airglow bands over the polar region, layered beneath the aurora.
Orbit Sunrise
A sunrise pass over Earth's limb, captured from low orbit as daylight breaks.
Night Sky
Deep starfield drift with minimal motion, ideal for background ambiance overnight.
A small team, running channels that never go dark
Pingfast Live started as a small team's experiment in continuous, produce-once channels — the streaming equivalent of leaving a beautiful view on in the background all day. Today the network runs two live channels, Ambient Space and Aurora, plus a rotating lineup of orbital sunrise, airglow and night-sky segments that fill out the schedule around them.
All footage is sourced from public-domain space imagery, mostly captured from low Earth orbit, and set to a licensed ambient music bed rather than a voiceover or soundtrack. Every channel is delivered as adaptive-bitrate HLS over HTTP/2 with TLS 1.3, replicated across a multi-CDN edge network spanning roughly 40 origin locations worldwide, so most viewers get playback starting in under three seconds even on modest connections. Our origin cluster re-encodes each channel in real time, and edge nodes fail over automatically between providers to keep every channel online through spikes, outages, and maintenance windows.
We're a small, remote team, and we believe the best ambient streaming is the kind nobody has to think about — a channel that's simply always there, always smooth, and always current. We're still expanding the schedule and a mobile app; if something looks broken, tell us at hello@pingfast.one.
